What kind of event professionals do you employ?

We select our event professionals with great care. Most of our photographer, videographers, and editing staff have more than 10 years of experience, none have less than 5. Our staff is knowledge in best practices, is respectful of our clients’ private moments, and will proactively handle any situation that may arise. We are proud of our staff and are confident that our clients will feel the same.

We have done a number of events outside tri-state area, including other US States and the Caribbean. In general, if your event is more than 60 miles away from the 10005 zip-code we reserve the right to assess a destination fee. If you book your package online, we have 48 hours to assess the fee, after which you have 72 hours to confirm the fee or request the return of your deposit in full.

Do you bring backup equipment to every event?

We bring all the necessary backup cameras, lenses, memory cards, tapes and other required equipment to every event.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes we do.

Are gratuities allowed?

Of course! In fact it is customary for the customer to tip event services providers at the conclusion of the event.

Picture Creations - Photography

What is your primary style? Do you shoot color, black & white?

Different parts of your wedding call for different techniques. While you are getting ready, we mostly use the photojournalistic approach, for the photo session - a mix of traditional and photojournalistic, for the ceremony and reception - photojournalistic and candid.

We shoot mostly in color. We have chosen this approach as we can always convert color images to another color scheme (e.g sepia or black and white), but not the visa versa.

What proofs will I get?

All of our photography packages include a DVD with color corrected ready to print digital negatives (proofs). Some packages also include physical proofs. Depending on your package, you will receive digital and/or physical proofs no later than four weeks after your event.

What is your file style?

Our film style is a mix of artistic and documentary, Artistic Documentary . You can view some demos of our work here. Just to give you a bit of the "lingo", there are other styles out there like strait cut and in-camera. Strait cut is when the raw, barely edited footage is given to the couple and in-camera is a short "highlights" type of video.

The strait cut video is usually long and boring, like a home movie. Unedited video, like most home movies, will not be something you want to watch over and over. Strait-cut is also the very easiest to deliver and can be given to you right after the wedding ends. If we just filmed the wedding and delivered the raw footage, we could save 30-40 hours of editing work for each wedding, but customers would end up with a product that they probably would not enjoy.

Instead, we offer a unique editing style: Artistic Documentary. After the edit, we deliver fully-edited DVDs with chapter and menu selections.

How long will my edited video be?

The length of the finished video will depend on customer’s specifications. If the customer wants a short movie and more effects it will be 45 minutes to 1 hour. On the other hand, if a customer wants a long movie with fewer effects it will be 1.5 to 2.5 hours.
